Alright, my fellow Lycra lovers. So you've stocked yourself up on some fancy Lycra workout gear to rock those exercise routines in style and flare. Let's dive into the cheeky art of keeping them fabulously fresh. And while we're at it, we'll also let that charming lady parts of yours bask in the breeze of liberation - shu, la la!

Its an investment lets be honest. Investing in high-quality workout gear is a must for fitness enthusiasts like you and me, who value both comfort and performance. To get the most out of your investment, its crucial to maintain your workout attire with care and attention. Here, we will explore essential tips to help you elongate the life of your lycra party.


Labels labels labels! Dum Dum Dum!


It's time to decipher the cryptic codes of care labels. And although I know 50% of us don't read them they do guide us through the mystical rituals of washing, drying, and ironing. Trust me I have learned the hard way. Take a moment to read and follow these guidelines diligently...you will thank yourself in the long run...


Bend & snap!


Sweat and oils from your skin can accumulate on your gear after each session, leading to unpleasant odors and potential deterioration. Getting that damp frat boy smell out of your leggings can be an uphill (sometimes loosing) battle. You don't want that whiff breathing down your neck the next time you are squatting and pulsing wondering if your neighbor can smell it too...


Opt for soaking and hand washing. Harsh cycles and high temperatures can cause unnecessary wear and tear to the fabric, affecting its elasticity and performance. A gentle approach can preserve the integrity of your gear. This includes drying it in direct sunlight. Avoid washing your gear with garments that have buttons and zips and turn them inside out for extra insurance.


Look the other way...Avoid fabric softeners!


Fabric softeners might be excellent for your regular laundry but they are not gym wear friendly. Softeners can create a film on the fabrics surface, reducing the moisture-wicking capabilities and breathability. Skip the fabric softener and opt for a mild detergents instead.


Air fry when ever possible!


The dryers heat can damage the fabrics fibers and cause shrinkage. Opt for hanging your gear to air fry (pun intended) in a well-ventilated area - not directly in the sun.


Now lets not forget about our sweaty betties!


Tight damp lycra can trap moisture and heat down under, leading to discomfort and potentially unwanted infections. Gift your sweaty betty the freedom she deserves. Allow your noble parts to breath. Wear breathable panties and avoid wearing your leggings for much longer after a sweaty session at the gym.


Taking care of your gear (at least for me) is really a must. If you live in them as in instructor they pretty much become your second skin. Doing yourself these favors above will save you a buck or two too and you can maintain the life of the lycra party!
